Weekly Market Update for Manhattan and Brooklyn October 14-20, 2024

MANHATTAN

 

In Manhattan, 428 new listings entered the market last week, up 59% from the previous week.

242 Manhattan contracts were signed last week, up 30% from the previous week.

16 Manhattan contracts were signed at $5M and above. Condos outsold co-ops 11-4, with one townhouse in the mix.

Noteworthy new contracts last week were: 

1.) The Surrey Residences 20 EAST 76TH STREET, 14A asking $24.25M.

2.) The Cortland 555 WEST 22ND STREET, 15AW asking $11.25M.

3.) The Charlotte 470 COLUMBUS AVENUE, 4 asking $10.225M.

 

BROOKLYN

 

In Brooklyn, 196 new listings entered the market last week, up 7.7% from the previous week.

Meanwhile, 158 Brooklyn listings entered contract last week, up 18% from the previous week.

Noteworthy new contracts in Brooklyn were:

1.) The townhouse at 355 HENRY STREET in Cobble Hill, asking $6.5M.

2.) The townhouse at 20 STRONG PLACE in Cobble Hill, asking $4.495M.

3.) The townhouse at 124 DEKALB AVENUE in Fort Greene, asking $4.45M
