Weekly Market Update for Manhattan and Brooklyn October 7-13, 2024

MANHATTAN

 

In Manhattan, 270 new listings entered the market last week, down 8% from the previous week.

187 Manhattan contracts were signed last week, down 4.6% from the previous week.

23 Manhattan contracts were signed at $5M and above. Condos outsold co-ops 16-4, with three townhouse in the mix.

Noteworthy new contracts last week were: 

1.) 23 EAST 22ND STREET, PH asking $28.5M.

2.) 500 WEST 18TH STREET, WEST_PH32B asking $23.6M.

3.) 555 WEST 22ND STREET, 21AW asking $21.5M.

 

BROOKLYN

 

In Brooklyn, 179 new listings entered the market last week, up 5.9% from the previous week.

Meanwhile, 133 Brooklyn listings entered contract last week, which was the same number as the previous week.

Noteworthy new contracts in Brooklyn were:

1.) The townhouse at 224 CLINTON STREET in Cobble Hill, asking $7.95M.

2.) The townhouse at 56 GARFIELD PLACE in Park Slope, asking $5.95M.

3.) One Domino Square 8 SOUTH 4TH STREET, 38B in Williamsburg, asking $4.46M
