Weekly Market Update for Manhattan and Brooklyn September 30-October 6, 2024

MANHATTAN

 

In Manhattan, 296 new listings entered the market last week, down 23% from the previous week.

197 Manhattan contracts were signed last week, up 9.4% from the previous week.

27 Manhattan contracts were signed at $5M and above. Condos outsold co-ops 20-6, with one townhouse in the mix.

Noteworthy new contracts last week were: 

1.) 765 Park Avenue #7B asking $14.9M.

2.) 1185 Park Avenue #16/17F asking $13.9M.

3.) Central Park Tower 217 West 57th Street #45B asking $13.75M.

 

BROOKLYN

 

In Brooklyn, 167 new listings entered the market last week, down 20% from the previous week.

Meanwhile, 133 Brooklyn listings entered contract last week, which was 19% more than the previous week.

Noteworthy new contracts in Brooklyn were:

1.) The townhouse at 321 Clinton Street in Cobble Hill, asking $11.25M.

2.) The townhouse at 455A Sackett Street in Carroll Gardens, asking $4.65M.

3.) The townhouse at 234 Washington Avenue in Clinton Hill, asking $4.5M
