Weekly Market Update for Manhattan and Brooklyn September 9-15, 2024

MANHATTAN

 

In Manhattan, 487 new listings entered the market last week, down 3.8% from the previous week.

166 Manhattan contracts were signed last week, up 21% from the previous week.

16 Manhattan contracts were signed at $5M and above. Condos outsold co-ops 11-1, with four townhouses in the mix.

Noteworthy new contracts last week were: 

1.) The townhouse at 170 EAST 80TH STREET asking $17.995M.

2.) 170 EAST END AVENUE, PH2B asking $16.995M.

3.) 39 WEST 23RD STREET, PENTHOUSE asking $12.95M.

 

BROOKLYN

 

In Brooklyn, 279 new listings entered the market last week, up 9% from the previous week.

Meanwhile, 109 Brooklyn listings entered contract last week, which was 14% fewer than the previous week.

Noteworthy new contracts in Brooklyn were:

1.) Quay Tower 50 BRIDGE PARK DRIVE, 17A in Brooklyn Heights, asking $5.125M.

2.) The townhouse at 214 CARROLL STREET in Carroll Gardens, asking $5.15M.

3.) Domino Square 8 SOUTH 4TH STREET, 36A in Williamsburg, asking $3.25M.
